It might seem impossible to effectively clean your home using natural, environmentally friendly products that don't cost a heap, but there is a way. In our Beginners Guide, we walk you through the steps needed to concoct your own natural cleaning solutions and help you choose the right oils for the job.
While a few people find cleaning to be a great way to relax, for many more it’s a real chore. Either way, it’s an unavoidable part of our daily routine that’s much easier with cleaning agents that really work. We all love having a nice and clean house, but it can come at the cost of using cleaning products that are full of harsh chemicals. It might seem impossible to avoid potentially harmful chemicals, but there’s another way!
The cleansing properties of oils are usually associated with health and wellness, however, the more literal properties mean that you can create homemade cleaning products with essential oils that bust dirt and leave your home sparkling and smelling incredible. In this blog, we’re looking at how anyone can use essential oils as a chemical-free way to tick a few chores off your to-do list.
Why Clean With Essential Oils?
While they are derived from organic sources, essential oils are packed full of powerful cleaning products that make them wonderfully effective for household cleaning. With high levels of concentration and natural potency, essential oils make for a great alternative to harsh cleaning products as they contain all-natural chemicals, making them completely safe to use around the house in the right quantity as well as a natural cleanser.
Part of the beauty of essential oils is that they’re incredibly diverse, and offer a wide range of different uses around the whole house. There’s no need to fill your cupboards with chemicals for every chore when the power of nature does all the work! Our personal favourite benefit of using DoTerra essential oils to clean is the amazing aroma left over after every application that leaves your space with a welcoming scent.
How Does Cleaning With Essential Oils Work?
While essential oils have properties that make them an organic cleanser, and an amazing alternative to harsh synthetic chemicals, it’s important to make sure you’re using them properly. Firstly, ensuring that the essential oils you’re using are 100% pure and don’t have any nasty hidden additives that make them less effective at cleaning. If you’re using pure essential oils, like the ones DoTerra has to offer, just a few drops go a long way.
When you’re using essential oils it’s important to remember that the number of drops you use makes all the difference to your finished solution. You can create your own cleaning products with essential oils mixed with items most of us have somewhere in the house!
